The administrative core of a WordPress operated website is the WordPress admin area. Inside the WordPress Admin Region, an administrator has complete access to all pages. There is restricted access to the admin area for users with other positions, such as writer, contributor, or author. Some users only have access to their profile page within the admin region, such as users with a subscriber position.

The toolbar or admin bar is at the top of any administration tab. This gives access to various administrative tasks. The key navigation that offers access to most of the WordPress management software is on the left side. A sub-menu usually comes with each main segment that can fly out and extend to offer additional choices.

The work area is called the area in the centre of the screen. You can write, edit, and uninstall posts and change the settings here. The footer is at the bottom of every administrative list. The footer includes WordPress connections and the edition of WordPress that you have configured at the moment.
