How to Deactivate All Plugins When Not Able to Access WP-Admin

Ok, all WordPress plugins need to be deactivated, but can you enter the admin area?

Method 1. Deactivate All WordPress Plugins Using FTP

Method 1. Form 1: You can either use an FTP client or your Wordpress hosting control panel’s file manager option.

Next, you need to use the FTP client to connect to the website or you can use the file manager, depending on whether it is in the cPanel. Find the folder /wp-content/folder until linked.

You can find a folder called Plugins inside the wp-content folder, as you can see. By the name given, all the plugins installed on your website are stored.

You need to rename it now, you can give it whatever name you want to the folder does not find it and that will lead to deactivation. You will see that we have just called it plugins.deactivate.

When you are locked out of your admin room, this approach is commonly used.
Visit the plugin page to verify that the updates are shown as seen below.

Also, you’ll find that all your plugins are gone now. Don’t worry that all of them are healthy, and you can recover them easily.

Only turn back to your FTP client and go to a folder called /wp-content/. You need to rename the ‘plugins.deactivate’ folder back to the plugins from here.

Now you can go back within the WordPress admin region to the Plugins tab and trigger one plugin at a time before the website breaks again.
